The episode of the screaming frog...

I've been really industrious over the last couple of days, if I do say so myself! Have replaced the shed roof, which had a big hole in it (admittedly, I had help with this!) and hacked through undergrowth to reveal access to the rear of the garden. I hate brambles... Have also washed the front door and cleaned and sanded the fascia board thingy over it, ready for repainting. Go, me.

The cat has been spending more time outside, and has already picked several (very loud) fights (or, rather, slanging matches) with neigbouring cats. She has also been exploring my back garden, which has a rather overgrown pond/water feature. I thought the latter was devoid of any life, but evidently not - Beba cornered a frog and started to play with it.

The first thing I knew about it was when I heard the scream. I didn't know what was making the noise, at first, but it was definitely the frog. It was a horrible sound, and completely incongruous... Luckily, it wasn't hurt - just distressed (understandably); I shut the cat inside to give it time to hide from her.
