It's time for some photos! I've finally hunted down and shot some seals (in the nicest possible way), and they feature here, along with some other snaps from the last couple of weeks...

There are some more photos of planes and stuff from the airshow we worked on the weekend, but I'm going to leave those for another day!

I remember discussing the Fisheries option with the ecology lecturer at the time when we were all choosing our 'specialist' MSc modules. He gave me a funny little look and said "Well, it's a really interesting area. Very topical, very stimulating. But it isn't half depressing."
I can see what he means, completely. Overfishing is a very big problem with many interested stakeholders and no clear way forward; you've got scientists, politicians and fishermen all trying to negociate a way to 'sustainable management' of marine resources without being able to reach consensus amongst their respective groups, let alone round the Big Table (and no-one's talking the same language anyway; you're lucky if anyone's even talking sense).
( Fisheries Science: a fool's game )
And I haven't even got the job yet! That's where I'm going to be until the weekend, trying to impress. See you on the other side :D
